BMW, Audi and Mercedes-Benz drivers top speeding ticket charts

Finnish national broadcasting company Yle created a list of all car makes that received the most speeding tickets out of the top 30 brands. When put into proportion to the number of cars on roads in Finland, three German manufacturers topped the chart: BMW, Audi and Mercedes-Benz.

Finland to subsidise purchases of new electric bikes with 400€ until 2021

The Finnish government is proposing a subsidy of 400 € for purchases of electric booster bikes. If the proposal passes it will come into effect on July 1st 2018. The final decision will be made soon and punters could buy discounted e-bikes already this spring, just in time for the prime cycling season.

50,000+ Finns sign citizens' initiative to abolish inheritance and gift taxes

Over 50,000 people's initiative to remove inheritance and gift taxes. The initiative to change the tax legislations is still available for signing on the Kansalaisaloite site. The Finnish parliament will process initiatives that receive over 50,000 signatures within the first six months of it being published.
