Tast food giant Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) plans to open restaurants in Finland. The company has teamed up with Ketju.fi and is now seeking for franchise operators in Finland.
Ketju.fi chief Mika Pamilo says the company is searching for a partner who is willing to invest in the KFC business for the long term. The company is convinced the fast food concept with thrive in the nordic country with the right partner.
The KFC chain set up by Harlan Sanders has 21,000 restaurants around the world in over 130 countries. The franchise is expanding in Europe, and plans to open a total of 5,000 restaurants in the region. The closest KFC restaurants are currently located in Sweden.
