Police investigating a possible poisoning at a Finnish post office

The police suspects someone had added poison to the coffee kettle at a a post office in Finland. After a coffee break many had symptoms that resembled poisoning.

The Finnish police is now investigating if the coffee was poisoned in the Savonlinna post office. A total of five employees got symptoms affecting their balance, problems with vision and muscle cramps.

The victims were questioned after being swiftly hospitalized after the coffee break. The officials have now taken samples from the scene to investigate if there is poison or some other harmful substance in the coffee machine.

Such events are extremely uncommon, states the leading investigator Seppo Leivonen. He has server for over 14 years and has never come across a similar case.
