The top ten deadliest animals in Finland

Finland is a boring place. This nordic country does not have much to write home about. There are no earth quakes, no alligators, no sharks in the water...

So what are the deadliest beasts in the country? Surely it must be beasts like bears, wolves or badgers living in the vast northern country. Thankfully the Finnish Statistics Bureau keeps track of animal related deaths in the Finland.

In the statistics from 1998 to 2015 the top ten deadliest beasts, with credited death count are:

  1. Moose, a mammal (101)
  2. Horse, a mammal (41)
  3. Field Vole, a rodent (30)
  4. Bee, an insect (23)
  5. Dog, a mammal (21)
  6. Cow, a mammal (12)
  7. Mite, an insect (12)
  8. Cat, a mammal (3)
