Can a Formula 1 car be jumpstarted?
As F1 cars have no start motor Is it possible to jumpstart them by driving downhill, for example?
If the power is on, it should be feasible. The car does not care where the energy to turn the engine comes from. The use of the clutch might be difficult, because it can't be fully pushed when the car is not running.
In 2000 Marc Gene span in Monaco in his Minardi. In this case he pushed the button that allows the stewards to push the car and then released it when they were doing so. This proved that a Formula 1 car can be jumpstarted like a regular road going car.
