Do Formula 1 mechanics switch between teams?

It's always mentioned how engineer and drivers switch teams in Formula 1? What about the pit crews and mechanics? Are they usually dedicated to a team or a driver or do they switch between jobs just like anyone of us?

Pit crews and mechanics switch teams every once in a while. Some italians are very commited to Ferrari, for example - but in England where there are much more options for jobs for people working in Formula 1 racing in general.
