Advantage of 18 inch wheels in Formula?

What benefits would there be in switching to 18 inch wheels in Formula?

The biggest difference would be the appearance. Maybe there would be a minimal impact on performance. The current 13" limitation was to reduce the size of the brake disc. The size of brake discs is now explicitly defined in the regulations, so it would be technically possible to move to the larger wheel size rather quickly.
