In the history of Formula 1, has the oldest driver in the series ever won the championship?

Yes. Nigel Mansell won the Formula 1 championship at 39 years old. He was the oldest driver that season. Also Juan Manuel Fangio took the trophy as the olders driver in the rink in 1957. He was 46 years old and still holds the title of the oldest Formula 1 Champion.
