What is the clutch like on a F1 car?

What kind of a clutch is on a contemporary Formula 1 car. How is it used in race starts?

It's a dry multiple disc clutch that is very small in diameter. The driver has a handle in behind the steering wheel that is used instead of a clutch pedal. From the handle a signal is relayed to the ECU and the ECU then drives the clutch. It's a pretty complicated system with a predefined mapping on how operating the handle affects the launching.
