Why is F1 style suspension not used in road cars?

Why do road cars not use the pushrot and pullrod suspensions that are used in Formula 1 cars?

These suspensions are expensive to build and maintain. In Formula 1 cars the pullrod suspension is crucial because of aerodynamics; it is essential that the springs and shock absorbers are not in the airflow.

If you would build a road car with a Formula 1 style suspension. In the lifetime of a car, say 200 000 kilometres, the maintenance cost would be higher. And in addition it would be a waste in a road car, since the aerodynamics are not as crucial in road use.
