Do the widths of F1 car tires vary between tire types?
How wide are the tires in Formula 1 cars? Are there differences in width for example between full wet tires and soft slicks?
According to regulations, the front tires must be in the range of 305 to 355 millimetres wide. For rear wheels the range is 365 to 380. There are are no differences in the widths for dry weather and wet tires. Tire diameters do vary, the full wet 2015 Pirelli tires have larger diameter compared to dry ones. The difference is 10 millimetres.
