Would a ban on carbon fibre breaks make F1 races more interestion?

Would there be more action in Formula races if FIA would ban carbon fibre breaks and would force teams to drive with old steel breaks like in the 1980s?

Breaking distances would grow and the grip would be worse. Breaking would be harder, but it would likely not make the sport more entertaining.
