Finland student loans total passes 3bn mark following student aid reform

Bank of Finland reports that drawdowns of student loans in the country are on the rise. This is following the reforms done to the student aid system during 2017. According to the organisation managing the state's monetary policy the rise began in August and continues on a rising trend.

OECD: Social security too generous in Finland — Universal income a no go

The OECD today published it's country report of Finland. This report evaluates the strengths and weaknesses of the country's economy. The key observation is that there are few incentives to work as the social security benefits are generous. The organisation recommends reforms to welfare.
