Many are experiencing issues with cellphone signals in new buildings. Apparently the cause for these is related to new window materials and metal structures in used in new construction methods. Dropped calls and sluggish network connectivity is a common issue in new buildings in Finland.

Workplaces ban online streaming of the 2018 Olympic Games in Finland

The performances of Finnish athlethes in the winter Olympics have been during the working day. Online watching of the games, held in South Korean city Pyeongchang, are streamed by the online Yle Areena services. This has put stress on corporate and government networks.

5G mobile data in Finland moves forward with frequency auction

Finland hopes to be among the first to deploy 5G Mobile Networks. The minister of Transport and Communications, Anne Berner, will distribute the first 3400-3800 Megaherz spectrum rights in 2018. This means licenses would be valid from January 1st, 2019.
