Many are experiencing issues with cellphone signals in new buildings. Apparently the cause for these is related to new window materials and metal structures in used in new construction methods. Dropped calls and sluggish network connectivity is a common issue in new buildings in Finland.

Helsingin Sanomat has unearthed more information on the events surrounding the death of Finnish business man on a trip to Uganda. The man was on business in the country as a contrator for Patria, an arms and defence goods manufacturer from Finland. Accompanying him was Suvi Lindén, a former Minister.

The Finnish flagship airline, Finnair, reported it's best ever quarter for Q4/2017. The company has managed to improve results for twelve consecutive quarters. For the whole of 2017 the company profits tripled to over 170 Million euro.

Finland hopes to be among the first to deploy 5G Mobile Networks. The minister of Transport and Communications, Anne Berner, will distribute the first 3400-3800 Megaherz spectrum rights in 2018. This means licenses would be valid from January 1st, 2019.

Helsingin Sanomat reports the Finnish man who died in Kampala, Uganda traveled to the country to do a major telecomms deal. According to arms and defence equipment manufacturer Patria the man was accompanied by former communications minister of Finland - Suvi Lindén.
