Helsinki attracted a record number of tourists in 2017 as East drives growth

Helsinki, the capital of Finland, attracted a record number of tourists during 2017. The total number of overnight stays in Helsinki accomodation facilities passed 4 Million for the fist time. In addition to tourism, the coastal city also attracted business travelers arriving for congress events.

Restaurants in Finland planning the largest Happy Hour in the world

Restaurants in Finland are planning to hold the largest Happy Hour in the world in March 2018. Entrepreneurs are trying to gather together five thousand restaurants. The country has just over 10,000 restaurants, around a half of bars and restaurants would participate in the event.

City of Vantaa in Finland provides free contraception for residents under 20

Vantaa, the fourth largest city in Finland, will start providing free contraception for residents under twenty. Starting from March 1st 2018 free prevention materials are provided to the young to improve sexual health and reduce the number of abortions and Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs).
