The online travel agency Ebookers today announce that the flow of Finnish travelers to London multiplied the week following the referendum vote that resulted in the United Kindom leaving the European Union in the future. This is suspected to be largely due to the hit that the Pound took in the currency markets - making UK more appealing to travelers from the EU.

Pulled Oat is an innovation from the Finnish company Gold&Green Foods. It's entirely made from plants and offers a more ecological alternative to both meat and soy proteins.
The product invented by two entrepreneurs is now in production with wide availability in Finland in the fall of 2016. Exporting the product is planned for the upcoming years.

The city of Salo in Finland is trying to attract the Hyperloop test track to the city. The technology is based on a large vacuum tube track which allows trains to travel in excess of a thousand kilometres per hour.

Foreign eCommerce vendors will have a harder time avoiding paying the Value Added Tax (VAT) to finland. The Finnish tax authority has started an operation where it is searching for eCommerce shops in the European Union (EU) who have not paid VAT to Finland. For Finnish vendors this is good news as not paying VAT is a direct competitive advantage for foreign merchants.

The managemenent of Finnish .fi top level domains (TLDs) will be available globally after September 2016 in a change to management of the domains. This is a radical change as private personns and companies can no longer reserve domains from FICORA, the body governing telecommunications in Finland.
